DocMorris is the source of truth for marketplace orders. The order import workflow checks DocMorris every 15 minutes and looks back over the last 2 hours of orders. Matching customers and products are used to create Shopify orders that are ready for fulfilment. Manual import is also available for testing, backfills or support investigations.

Shopify is the source of truth for fulfilment and inventory. When a Shopify order is fulfilled, tracking information can be sent back to DocMorris in near real time. When inventory changes in Shopify, stock levels can also be updated in DocMorris so marketplace availability stays accurate.

Common questions

How often are DocMorris orders imported into Shopify?

The order import runs every 15 minutes and checks the last 2 hours of DocMorris orders. Manual import is also available for testing, backfills or support checks.

Why is a DocMorris order missing in Shopify?

Check that the order is within the sync window, that the workflow is enabled, and that the customer and products can be matched. Missing or inconsistent product identifiers can prevent an order from being created correctly.

What happens if a Shopify product cannot be matched?

The order import depends on product matching. If the expected barcode or SKU is missing or different between systems, the affected order may not import successfully until the product data is corrected.

Why did Shopify stock change after a DocMorris order was imported?

The order import has an inventory behaviour setting. By default, imported orders claim inventory in Shopify even if that creates negative stock. Change the setting if Shopify stock should not be reduced or if Shopify should enforce its inventory policy.

Why is tracking not appearing in DocMorris?

Tracking is sent when Shopify fulfilment events happen. Make sure the Shopify fulfilment has tracking details and that the Shopify order can be matched back to the DocMorris order.

How do filters and options affect stock updates?

The location setting can limit which Shopify stock is sent to DocMorris, and the excluded products setting can prevent specific SKUs, EANs or GTINs from being updated. If stock is missing or unexpected, review these settings first.
