It imports Fnac orders into Shopify, sends Shopify fulfilment tracking back to Fnac, and keeps Fnac offer quantities aligned with Shopify stock changes.

Primary sync path

Fnac is the source of truth for marketplace orders. The order import workflow runs every 15 minutes and checks the last 2 hours of new or recently updated Fnac orders. Matching Shopify orders are created with customer details, addresses, order lines, quantities, prices, shipping information, and Fnac references.

Shopify is the source of truth for fulfilment and stock. When an order that came from Fnac becomes fully fulfilled in Shopify, its fulfilment tracking numbers and carrier information are sent back to the relevant Fnac order details. When Shopify stock changes, the matching Fnac offer quantity is updated in near real time.

The integration is designed to preserve the Fnac order and line references needed for later shipment confirmations. Stock updates rely on product references, such as Shopify SKUs, matching the corresponding Fnac offers.

This workflow regularly checks Fnac for orders in the configured states and creates corresponding orders in Shopify. It brings across the customer, delivery address, billing details, order lines, quantities, prices, shipping information, and Fnac references so the order can be processed from Shopify.

This workflow accepts only Shopify orders that have explicit Fnac order metadata and a successful Fnac-to-Shopify import record. It reads every Shopify fulfilment in the fulfilled-order payload and maps the Fnac detail IDs stored on its line items to that fulfilment's tracking number and company.

Common questions

How often are Fnac orders imported into Shopify?

The order import runs every 15 minutes and checks the last 2 hours of new or recently updated Fnac orders.

What happens if automatic order acceptance is enabled?

Eligible Fnac order lines are accepted only after the matching Shopify order has been created successfully. If Shopify order creation fails, Synchron does not automatically accept the Fnac order.

Why was a Fnac stock update rejected or skipped?

The Shopify SKU must match the Fnac Seller SKU. In barcode mode, the barcode must also contain the offer's EAN. Synchron filters disallowed locations, rejects missing references, and skips unchanged duplicate stock values. Submitted updates can still fail FNAC's asynchronous batch validation; the outbound record contains the batch ID and sanitised result.

Can stock be limited to specific Shopify warehouses?

Yes. The stock workflow can use all Shopify locations by default or be limited to selected locations. Aggregating quantities should only be used when the selected locations operate as one shared fulfilment pool.
