Integration overview

How Shopify and Axonaut work together

The Shopify + Axonaut integration automatically synchronises sales and stock data between your Shopify store and Axonaut. Shopify stays focused on ecommerce and order capture, while Axonaut handles invoicing, CRM and back-office follow-up.

It is designed for merchants who sell online with Shopify and use Axonaut to manage invoices, customers and accounting. Instead of exporting files or re-typing data, your Shopify orders can be turned into Axonaut invoices, and Axonaut stock movements can update your Shopify inventory.

With this integration, you can turn Shopify orders into Axonaut invoices, and keep stock levels aligned by updating Shopify inventory based on Axonaut product movements. This reduces manual work, limits errors and improves visibility on ecommerce performance inside Axonaut.

Data flows

Core sync directions

  • Shopify → Axonaut (Sales): Paid Shopify orders are imported into Axonaut as invoices. Shopify is the source of truth for online orders; Axonaut becomes the source of truth for invoicing and financial reporting on those sales.
  • Axonaut → Shopify (Stock): Stock information from Axonaut products is used to update inventory levels in Shopify. Axonaut is the source of truth for stock; Shopify reflects the available quantities for online sales.

Use cases

Typical scenarios for this integration

  • You want every eligible Shopify order to generate a formal invoice in Axonaut for accounting and VAT.
  • Your finance team needs near real-time visibility of ecommerce revenue inside Axonaut.
  • You want to avoid exporting CSV files from Shopify and re-entering sales into Axonaut.
  • You need to reduce manual bookkeeping at month-end by keeping Axonaut continuously up to date.
  • You use Axonaut as your main stock management tool and want Shopify to reflect its quantities.
  • You record receipts, adjustments and offline sales in Axonaut and want Shopify to stay in sync automatically.

  • You want to avoid manual inventory corrections in Shopify for products already managed in Axonaut.
