Integration overview

How Marketplacer and WooCommerce work together

The Marketplacer + WooCommerce integration connects your Marketplacer-powered marketplace with your WooCommerce store so you can manage marketplace sales using the same tools and processes as your main ecommerce site. Orders placed on Marketplacer are brought into WooCommerce, and fulfilment updates and stock changes made in WooCommerce are pushed back to Marketplacer.

This integration is designed for merchants who sell on Marketplacer-powered marketplaces and use WooCommerce as their ecommerce back office. It helps you avoid manual re-keying of marketplace orders, keeps stock levels aligned between platforms, and ensures that shipment and tracking information is kept up to date for marketplace customers.

By centralising order processing and inventory management in WooCommerce, you can continue to use your existing shipping methods, tax rules, and plugins while still meeting marketplace requirements for timely order handling, tracking updates, and accurate availability.

Data flows

Core sync directions

  • Orders: Marketplacer → WooCommerce New orders from Marketplacer are imported into WooCommerce on a schedule. Marketplacer is the source of truth for new marketplace orders; once imported, WooCommerce becomes the operational system where you pick, pack, ship, and manage those orders. The import runs automatically every 15 minutes and looks back over approximately the last 2 hours of Marketplacer orders. You can also run this import manually to test or backfill historical orders.
  • Shipment & tracking updates: WooCommerce → Marketplacer When you ship orders in WooCommerce and add tracking details, the integration sends shipment updates back to Marketplacer. This happens via webhooks, so Marketplacer is updated in near real time when relevant events occur in WooCommerce. Marketplacer then uses this information to update the customer-facing order status and tracking details.
  • Stock levels: WooCommerce → Marketplacer WooCommerce is treated as the source of truth for stock quantities. When inventory changes in WooCommerce (for example, due to sales, returns, or manual adjustments), the integration updates the matching items on Marketplacer. These updates are triggered by events in WooCommerce and are sent to Marketplacer in near real time for products that are linked between the two systems.
